I used gold colored aluminum wire to create these earrings. The brown beads with the gold color wire really compliment each other. The aluminum wire is very light weight which makes these earrings very comfortable.

Triangle Dangles

Working with a heavier gauge wire has been a lot of fun. I used a hammer to flatten the wire after I formed the triangles. I had a lot of complaints this evening by my two year old daughter because my hammering was too loud for her to watch her t.v. show! Sorry Sophia!

Hammered Spirals

This has been a busy year for me so far. I'm trying to uphold my New Year's resolutions of getting in shape and keeping up with the laundry. There are just not enough hours of the day! Luckily, this snowy weekend gave me the perfect opportunity to spend time with my husband and daughter, workout, do laundry and create new earrings.

I made these "Hammered Spirals" out of aluminum wire and Indian Glass beads. Hope you like them!

Hammer Time

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are having a great year so far. I took a little break with the earrings, but am starting up again. Here is my first creation of the year.

I used a completely different technique creating these earrings. I hammered each piece to flatten the wire and widen out the ends. These earrings are so light it hardly feels like you're wearing them.

These are my new favorites! I formed the wire into loops to create this flowery design. The white cat's eye beads and black glass beads finish off the look.

Funky Hoops

I decided to try a different style with these Funky Hoops. I shaped the wire into hoops and secured them with a jump ring. I added turquoise and silver beads for some color.

Spiral Earrings

These festive Spiral earrings are really fun. I added red glass beads to the earring wire and attached a silver spiral. These can be made with any color bead. Great for casual wear or a holiday outfit.

Making jewelry was something I never expected to be doing. I am a wife, mother, and have a full-time job in the Equine Insurance industry. While in a craft store, I picked up a wire jewelry magazine and was inspired. I love jewelry, so why not try to make my own? Check out my creations below. They make great stocking stuffers, so please contact me if you're interested!

My first project was for a friend who wanted a pair of reasonably priced Equestrian earrings. Working in the Equine industry and the "Horse Capital of the World," I thought it would be quite fitting. I found Antique Silver Equestrian Bit charms and turned them into earrings. Simple yet elegant! I am working on more ideas for Equestrian earrings, so stay tuned.

Style: 003

These UK inspired earrings made with blue and white cat's eye beads were created in honor of the big win today against UNC! Go Cats!!! The wire techniques used for the design of these earrings were simple loops, coils and jump rings.

Style: 002

The next pair of earrings are my favorite to make so far. The wire techniques for this design are coils, simple loops and spirals. The simple loops, coils and spirals are all done by hand. These look great for a casual or dressed up look.
